Nooruddin (Rudy) S. Karsan
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Nooruddin (Rudy) S. Karsan possesses the rare combination of a strong background in actuarial science with the ability to dream big. So it comes as no surprise that one of Mr. Karsan’s most lofty dreams became Kenexa, which he co-founded in 1987. Kenexa has grown into the largest independent provider in the human capital management space, and thanks to his vision and leadership, is well on its way to becoming a billion-dollar company that is well positioned to realize continued market share gains in the future. Kenexa employs people in 20 countries across the globe and is consistently recognized by industry experts for providing customers with top quality services, solutions and technology that help companies hire the best available talent and maximize the employment experience. In 2011, Mr. Karsan co-authored the New York Times’ bestselling book “We: How to Increase Performance and Profits through Full Engagement.” Before he started Kenexa’s predecessor company, Mr. Karsan led Marketing Actuarial for the Mercantile & General Insurance Company in Toronto. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and has a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Actuarial science from the University of Waterloo.

Troy A. Kanter
President and Chief Operating Officer

Troy Kanter is a true entrepreneur who excels at providing the tools customers need to succeed in today’s business environment. As President and Chief Operating Officer at Kenexa, Mr. Kanter oversees all operations, including content development and implementation, and provides leadership to the survey and sales teams. Since Mr. Kanter joined the company in 1997, Kenexa has expanded its behavior sciences offerings, and Mr. Kanter has built a practice founded in measuring, predicting and enabling workforce performance. His experience at Kenexa is extensive, having previously served as President of Human Capital Management and Vice President of Business Development. Before joining Kenexa, Mr. Kanter co-founded Human Resource Innovations, Inc., (HRI), which was later acquired by Kenexa. Before he co-founded HRI, Mr. Kanter served as Vice President of Client Services at The Gallup Organization. He is a graduate of Doane College and now serves on its Board of Trustees. He also serves on the board of a number of private companies.

Donald F. Volk
Chief Financial Officer

Donald Volk provides Kenexa’s customers with the security of knowing an experienced Chief Financial Officer oversees the company’s assets. Mr. Volk has managed Kenexa’s finances since 1996, and has played a major role in the growth and development of the company through his systematic approach to financial stewardship. Mr. Volk has been a Certified Public Accountant for more than 30 years, and prior to joining Kenexa was a partner in the accounting firm of Brinker, Simpson, Nicastro & Volk. Mr. Volk holds a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Villanova University.
