How do I get started?
On the StandOut home page, click the "Get Started" link.
You will be asked to input some basic information and choose a password. Once you have filled out your registration information, you will proceed to a screen that allows you to begin the assessment.

I don't want the voiceover to play as I take the test. How do I turn it off?
Simply click on the speaker icon (or the text reading "voice over on") at the top right of your screen.

I want the voiceover on but it doesn't seem to work. How can I turn it on?
If the voiceover is off and you would like to hear it, click on the speaker icon (or the text reading "voice over on") at the top right of your screen.

I was still thinking about my answer to one of the questions and it went ahead before I could answer. What should I do?
There is no way to go back to previous answers while taking the assessment. StandOut can still give you accurate results even if you miss one question. If you miss too many questions, however, StandOut will require you to start from the beginning when you return to the assessment.

Can I pause the assessment?
Yes. Simply click the "pause" icon in the middle of the timer under the question. The answers will disappear until you click the "play" button in the same spot to resume the assessment.

I chose the wrong answer. Can I go back and change it?
Because StandOut requires your top-of-mind response to give the most accurate results, it is not possible to go back to earlier questions to change your answers.

I didn't have time to finish the assessment. Do I have to start from the beginning again?
If you do not have time to finish the assessment, you can pause or log out. StandOut will take you back to where you left off and you will not have to start from the beginning.

How do I view my results?
You can view your results online any time by logging in to your account at standout.tmbc.com and clicking on the button labeled "View My Full Report." You can also view your full results in a printable PDF form by clicking on the "PDF Report" button on the left side of the screen.

How do I print my results?
Click the "PDF Report" button on the left side of each StandOut page to create and download a beautifully designed, printable version of your full results.

How do I customize my PDF report?
After you click the "PDF Report" button, you will be presented with a list of options to include in your report. Click "include everything" at the top of the list to print your entire results, or customize your report by choosing only those results you want to include. You can create as many different custom reports as you want.

How do I change my e-mail address?
When you are logged in, click on the "My account" link at the top right of your screen. You will be able to edit your e-mail address and password from there. Note that for your security, you will have to input your current password first in order to change your information.

How do I change my name/account information?
When you are logged in, click on the "My account" link to view and change your account information. You can edit any of your information by clicking on the "Edit" button attached to it.

Can I retake the assessment if I have already taken it once?
Each account allows a user to take the assessment only one time. Your first experience of StandOut will be the most accurate assessment of your top two Roles. Repeated exposure to the questions and answers will not serve to refine your results.

The assessment isn't loading for me. What should I do?
In the event that you have a technical problem with your assessment, please contact TMBC support at customerservice@tmbc.com. Please note that StandOut is compatible with the following web browsers: Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer 7 and above. StandOut is not compatible with Internet Explorer versions 6 or below.

How do I share my results with other people?
When you are viewing your results, you can publish your top 2 Roles directly to Twitter, LinkedIn, or Facebook by clicking on the associated buttons under the StandOut logo on the left of your screen. You can also download a PDF and share your full results with anyone you wish.

What does this assessment measure?
StandOut assesses your particular constellation of strengths by measuring your responses against 9 specific strengths-oriented Roles. These 9 Roles are the most common combinations of strengths derived from analyzing the responses of tens of thousands of test takers.

How do I print my PDF report?
Click on the "PDF Report" button just under the StandOut logo on the left of the screen to download a printable report.

I want to see more than just my top 2 Roles. How do I see where the rest of them fit in for me?
You can see the order of all 9 Roles for your assessment results by clicking on "My Complete Role Ranking" on the left of the screen.

What is the difference between my 2 Roles and my combined Roles?
Your StandOut results describe each of your top 2 Roles in detail and give practical suggestions for how to make the most of each Role in your life. But your Roles do not apply to you in isolation. Each Role can influence the other. In order to give you the fullest picture of how to take advantage of your strengths, StandOut therefore provides you with a full detailed report about how to make the most of your combination. When you combine your top 2 Roles you get the most accurate assessment of your most powerful comparative advantage.

The questions are timed to ensure that you give your top-of-mind answer. Your immediate, "gut level" reaction to each question will offer the most accurate results for the assessment.
