Linking Exit Interview and Employee Engagement to Increase Retention - Dr. Richard Harding
Live Webcast
Dr. Richard Harding, a Senior Kenexa Consultant, will discuss his latest research that demonstrates the link between exit interviews and employee engagement to increase the retention of your most talented people.
How many times have you discovered that a talented employee has resigned, only to think, ‘If only we could have done something to prevent that decision?’ Because employee retention remains a top priority for companies and because organisations increasingly view retention as a key driver of business strategies, Dr. Harding discusses research conducted that shows the linkage between exit interviews and employee engagement.
This research centres around comparing responses on a series of questions given to employees who voluntarily left versus employees who responded to an engagement survey. By comparing responses, a retention index was derived, cross validated against a holdout sample, and then revalidated two years later using a new group of exited employees and another census of engagement survey responders. The sample sizes were approximately 1,600 and 5,000 exited employees, respectively, while the engagement sample was nearly 50,000 and 75,000 employees, respectively. The Retention index can be used to develop strategies that retain and engage employees the company most wants to keep. This seminar, offered around the Retention Index, will give managers solid methods to retain their very best people.
