Australian Energy Company Powers Its Graduate Recruiting Program with Outsourced Recruitment Solution
As Australia’s number one green energy provider, Origin Energy has earned a reputation as a desirable place to work. The company steadily attracts a large volume of graduate job candidates. However, with so many graduates interested in employment at Origin Energy, the organization’s internal recruiting department realized that to keep pace with a burgeoning number of applicants and labor intensive recruitment process, it could power its practice by outsourcing part of the recruiting process.
In early 2009, Origin partnered with Kenexa, a global provider of business solutions for human resources, to manage its graduate recruitment campaign. In addition to gaining access to expert resources, services and best practices, Origin Energy has tapped into the functionality of Kenexa’s Recruitment Technology system, Kenexa Recruiter® BrassRing (KRB), which facilitates the management and reporting of candidate data. By working with Kenexa’s RPO team to streamline and automate its graduate recruitment campaign, Origin was able to effectively and efficiently manage higher volumes of candidates while having better insight early in the recruitment process. It was also able to uncover how and where it was sourcing candidates, enabling them to plan and fund subsequent graduate campaigns.
