LONDON. (October 8th, 2007) — Kenexa® (NASDAQ: KNXA), a leading provider of recruitment and retention solutions, today announced its role in assisting the National Health Service (NHS), the largest employer in Europe, increase the speed and efficiency of its graduate management training qualification process.
The NHS was created in 1948 and is recognised by the World Health Organisation as one of the best health services in the world. As a leading health service provider, NHS receives more than 7,000 applications each year for a placement in its highly regarded Graduate Management Training Programme.
Kenexa’s recruitment and retention solutions have enabled the NHS to more effectively qualify candidates for this training programme in a timely manner. NHS candidates apply for the training programme online, where they are asked to undertake five different questionnaires and ability tests, including Kenexa’s online numerical and verbal reasoning assessments.

The whole process is now far less labour intensive and our NHS manager assessors are now able to give their valuable time to a more focused process, one that allows them to concentrate more on candidates who have the right potential to succeed.”
A validation study found that Kenexa’s tests were clearly identified as the strongest predictor of a candidate’s success during the final stage of the qualifying process. The enhanced process has also helped the NHS receive the prestigious Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) ‘Best of the Best’ award for graduate selection and development.
