Features

Multi-Channel Sourcing Strategy
In order to identify and attract top-quality diversity candidates, Kenexa develops and executes diversity sourcing strategies that utilize multiple channels including:

  • Networking and Direct Recruitment
Kenexa’s diversity recruitment initiative provides a large majority of the diversity candidate pool through networking and direct recruitment. This sourcing effort will utilize Kenexa research to identify diversity candidates in target disciplines and management positions.

  • Campus Recruiting
A key component of the diversity sourcing and recruitment strategy is a focused, long-term emphasis on establishing strong relationships with historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), women’s colleges and colleges with high enrollments of Hispanic and other diverse students. Campus recruiting activities may include career fairs, alumni functions, student internships and student workshops.

  • Diversity Job Fairs
Diversity job fairs sponsored by local governments or community organizations in major metropolitan areas can be used to source candidates and build awareness of each organization. Cities with high concentrations of diverse populations should be targeted.

  • Media Advertising
Kenexa uses a variety of print, radio or other minority-owned media outlets to reach prospective diversity candidates. Advertising messages can be used to promote diversity job fairs and build organizational awareness in the community.

  • Internet Postings & Internet Mining
Kenexa maintains active position postings on several key Internet sites focused on the diversity community, including important professional associations. Kenexa also posts positions and mines for diversity candidates on popular high traffic websites dedicated to diversity recruitment.

Professional and Community Outreach
Establishing and reinforcing relationships with key affinity groups and professional and community organizations is key for finding a source of potential diversity prospects. These groups include the National Urban League, National Association of Asian-American Professionals, National Council of La Raza and United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC).

Employment Branding
Employment branding should reflect the unique personality of an organization by expressing the value proposition, or the sum of the culture, systems, attitudes and employee relationships. It also provides a competitive advantage that helps maintain market share, maximize profitability, and achieve ongoing success.

Multicultural Marketing
As shifting demographics continue to change the economic landscape, companies and organizations now understand the need for specialized communications programs to reach diverse populations. Recognizing these strategic and cultural challenges is the key to an effective multicultural marketing campaign.
