Unifying Health across Psychology and other Disciplines: Dialogues, Collaborations and Implications for Chinese Societies

The HKPS is proud to acknowledge the diversity of expertise that exists in Hong Kong among our own members as well as the chance to exchange with other international experts who are interested in Chinese psychology. This is reflected in the eminent line up of speakers who have generously agreed to share their expertise with us at the 2008 Conference. We hope this conference will not only help us to develop a richer understanding of health across different disciplines but will also allow us to collaborate with colleagues both in local and overseas.

Kenexa will be participating in I/O panel discussion on Work-Life Balance.

The Kenexa Research Institute examined 15 years of WorkTrends data, and in 2008, delved into 14 countries’ data to understand past and current rates of unionization and what percentage of non-union employees would favor unionization.

By comparing employees who would favor joining a union to those who would prefer not, results show that, in addition to concerns about job safety, pay, and benefits, there are worker interests that can be addressed by simple (and not so simple) organizational initiatives. This KRI webinar describes the research results and suggests further organization action.
